Setup The Pitcher's capabilities are set up including level of competition, right or left handed, age, and the pitch types the pitcher throws. The pitch types are then selected for the pitch routine, workout, and competition. As can be seen in the workout routine created below, the target location, number of pitches, and random or sequential order is identified and the pitcher is ready to workout. | | | Workout During the workout, information about each pitch is displayed to the pitcher. If working strictly on control, velocity or movement, immediate feedback is provided to the pitcher. This allows the pitcher to instantly know the areas of weakness and allows them to concentrate on development. | | | Competition During competition mode, the three components are calculated to provide a composite number for each pitch. Pitches higher in velocity, with larger break and closer to the illuminated target score more points. This provides feedback to the pitcher and coach for overall capabilities and areas of improvement. As seen below, PitchTrack registers the movement, 80.2 mph speed and close proximity to the target resulting in a score of 245 for the pitch. |
